Our first individual piece is to be a extrovert day-wear to evening wear piece with the focus on texture. 25% of your fabric must come from the markets/ other second hand clothing outlets.

The main inspiration for my individual concept comes from these photographs.

 

The dew on the insects and the plants creates a really interesting crystallized glassy texture.

I can replicate this effect through glass beading.

The way the rose folds around itself could also be a very interesting structural design feature of a garment.

Spiderwebs were also part of my inspiration...
